The Boom Dang Foundation is fast becoming well known for it's high energy performances and complex rhythms, with a reputation as a high quality drumming school led by music practitioners of international pedigree.

Inspired by their love of performing and music, and the desire to give opportunities to young people, the side-ways drumming project, Boom Dang was founded in 2000 by Therese and Dan Fox, who also designed and made the drums – a new invention unique to Boom Dang.

Since 2000, the Boom Dang project grew.  More young people wished to join, there was a need for more practitioners, there was a demand for more performances.  As a result,  in 2007 a new company was launched, named The Boom Dang Foundation.

The company is dedicated to giving opportunities.  Shown in its dedication to training music practitioners to a high quality of practice, its dedication to running sessions with young people, and its outreach work.
