The organisation has 4 main strands of work.  Within Boom Dang, there is:

  1. An internationally acclaimed side-ways drumming band. The band plays a mix of Drum & Bass, Bhangra, Hip-Hop, Latin, Afro-Beat and Moroccan Trance, also performing with choreography, vocals, tuned percussion and costume.
  2. A thriving community drumming project based in the heart of Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria.
  3. A school of drumming, taking on beginners every other year.
  4. A training centre for Music Leaders

We perform original tunes, on Boom Dang drums.

Our performance work has taken us to all major UK cities, to Barcelona, Belgium, Belfast, we performed to the Queen and most recently the BBC National Lottery Awards show, shown on prime time National television.

"Boom Dang were a triumph at this year's Bradford Mela - vibrant, colourful and professional, they made a huge impact on the Mela (Europe's largest South Asian Festival) and we look forward to working with them again in the future." - Tony Lidington, Street Arts Programmer, Bradford Mela
