Lakes Alive’s Mintfest, is a huge event with thousands of people turning up to watch the shows.
Solfest August 2011
After a mammoth packing session, loading tents, camping gear, supplies, instruments we set off on the journey to the north of Cumbria, only very nearly not getting there due to excess weight issues that the van just couldn’t cope with.
Walney Carnival July 2011
Walney Carnival was a fantastic day out! The sun shone brightly, we were by the beach, the sea was at high tide and the band wowed the crowds with their fast beats and upbeat rhythms.

For the first time ever, we led the parade. Being at the front was fantastic, not being at the back with the emergency vehicles and their really loud sirens!

Our good friends Phill Gregg and Gary Bridgens were performing in our hometown and Boom Dang, Ting Tang and Ting Tang 2 were invited to perform as the warm act!

It rain, it was muddy, and we were to perform in the middle of a field in Hawkshead, to fell runners.

Getting back into the swing of all things rhythmically banging! All groups started again (after festive break) with huge gusto!

The Boom Dang Foundation Rebranding
Boom Dang have just finished rebranding their web presence including social networks.

The first part of the month was spent travelling round schools advertising that we were setting up a new Ting Tang Beginners group.

National Lottery Awards Show, BBC One
Boom Dang The Performance Band were picked to perform as part of the National Lottery Awards Show, on BBC One.
May, June & July 2010
In May we wrote our funding bid to Youth Music for new work that we wished to do in the next 18 months.
April 2010
In April we ran we ran a weekend of CPD for our Trainees and our Music Leader, run by Gary Bridgens and Therese Johnston.
March 2010
This was our last month of Youth Music funding therefore, we concentrated on writing our final report to Youth Music for the last 18 months of work.
