In April we ran we ran a weekend of CPD for our Trainees and our Music Leader, run by Gary Bridgens and Therese Johnston.

The training was over two days.  On day one, we collectively looked at everything that needs to be in place to run a music workshop for young people.  On day two, we put all this into practice.  We invited Ting Tang along, and our Trainees – Genny Lewis, Kim Tweddell, Dan Nich, Darren Head, as well our Music Leader – Jake Newton, all of whom collectively ran a drumming workshop and were in charge of the session from the moment participants arrived to the moment they left. 

As individuals, they each had a role to play and ran their part of the workshop, however, as a group, they helped and supported whoever was in the role as leader.

The weekend was a huge success.  The Trainees and Music Leader performed their roles professionally and with humour.  Ting Tang had a great time as guinea pigs!
