Lakes Alive’s Mintfest, is a huge event with thousands of people turning up to watch the shows.

Boom Dang was fortunate to perform in the grounds of The Brewery, as support and warm up for The Chipolatas and then Kanda Bongo Man.

With it being holiday season, we were very much down on performers who were on vacation, so we enlisted the help of Dan England – drummer from The Joe Fleming Band.

Dan England learned our Drum-Kit routine in a 2-hour rehearsal and we are so thankful that he came along and performed with us, enabling us to perform all tunes from our set list.

We had great fun performing to the huge crowd who watched and listened, cheered and clapped, danced and got into the vibe.

As we came off stage, people applauded and said how much they loved our rhythms and choreography.

It was a fantastic gig to play at, a great time was had by all!
