Roulette Strategy And Systems
Roulette is a game with static odds that can’t be manipulated with any betting pattern or system. On top of that, the house edge is 2.7% which is higher than most other table games. By contrast, blackjack only has a house edge of around 0.5% and the odds are not static, they can actually swing in your favour with card counting.
So already, there’s a mountain to climb with roulette and you aren’t likely to win if you stay for too long. Here is a quote that sums it up perfectly from www.roulettestrategy.net
The whole point of a roulette strategy is to first of all manage your bank roll, and secondly to increase your odds of winning over the short term by betting large to win small.
That’s the trend that you are going to see with these systems that I’ve got below. All of them start out with small bets and then use a progression after a loss to claw back losses. This may sound like a risky form of betting, and it is, but it’s only option with roulette other than flat betting.
You’ll also notice that all of these systems can be applied to blackjack as well and that’s because the majority of roulette systems are based on the colours which are double your money bets, just like blackjack.
Martingale Roulette Strategy – Just like when you play blackjack, you start out with the minimum bet that the table will allow and you double your bet after every loss until you win. It’s easy to understand but very risky.
Oscar’s Grind – Another strategy that I first wrote about for blackjack and with roulette, it is used exclusively for the even chance bets. You keep your bets the same after a loss and increase them after a win and move through a betting cycle that will see you win just 1 unit profit before starting over. The idea is to grind out the playing session and hopefully be up in chips at the end of it.
The Cancelation Roulette Strategy – This is sometimes called the Labouchere, with this strategy the player decided how much they would like to win and then creates a betting line with lots of smaller numbers that will add up to the total that they want to win. The player then moves through the line crossing out numbers after a win and adding new ones on after a loss.
Roulette Software – After doing some digging around online, I found several programs that the players can download and then run as they play roulette online. The program then tells the player what the next bet should be and shows them how to bet. It’s all hocus pocus but I thought I would write about it seen as how there are so many of them.
Guetting System – Another system like Oscar’s grind – it increases bets after a win and moves through 4 different stages of a progression to try and grind out wins and make the most of winning runs.
Any Roulette Strategies That Actually Win?
Albert Einstein had this to say about roulette –
The only way to win at roulette is to steal from the table when the croupier isn’t looking.
It is an exciting game to play but it’s also one that’s impossible to beat and the strategies above are only short term, risky betting patterns that will probably lose at some point. There aren’t any better ones out there though.
If you are just playing it for fun, a thrill or excitement then good luck to you. If however you are only playing because you want to win money, you would be better off giving it a miss and sticking to blackjack.
